The stuff I use:

  • I use professional-quality acrylic gesso, paints, mediums, and varnish by Golden Artist Colors. I love that I can play with a whole lot of different textures and fluidness and know that the products play well with each other.

    I want the best for my clients. Simple as that.

  • Now I’ll blow that wonderful story into space by saying I also use coffee, salt, sand, mica powders, paprika, dirt, plant debris, silicone oil, pebbles, charcoal, and pencil shavings.

  • Every painting is sealed with varnish that features protection from UV damage and has long-lasting durability.

  • Every painting is hand-signed using paint from the artwork.

  • A Certificate of Authenticity, Artist’s Bio, Art Statement, and Care Instructions are also included with the artwork.

Frames

  • The frames I use are made of 100% solid red oak. I chose wood because I found black frames scratch easily. Natural wood can scratch, too, but at least it’s easier to repair.

  • This style of frame is called “floater” because it makes the artwork appear as though it’s floating.

Why I use floater frames

  • Clean and professional, gallery-style presentation
    The small gap between the canvas and frame creates a subtle “floating” effect, adding depth while keeping the focus on the artwork itself.

  • Nothing gets covered up
    Floater frames don’t overlap the canvas edges, so the entire artwork—including painted sides and edge details—stays fully visible.

  • Protects the art without touching it
    The frame shields the canvas edges and corners from bumps and wear without pressing against the painted surface.

  • Allows canvas to breathe
    No glass, no squishing—just open air that allows the texture, materials, and surface details to be fully appreciated (and helps with long-term care, too).

Ready to hang the second it arrives

All you need is a hammer.

  • I use wire rated for 50 or 100 lbs, depending on the size and weight of the artwork, so we can all be assured it’s as safe as can be. The wire is attached with a D-hook positioned so the frame sits flat against the wall.

  • An appropriate hook for the artwork is included, so all you need is a hammer to hang it where you want it.
