My art begins as a glorious mess…

Maybe it’s a throwback to my childhood obsession with playing with dirt, caramels, Play-Doh, plaster, and more—often mixing things together in ways that I know horrified adults.

I never grew out of my chaotic, mad-scientist style of creating art.

As the layers build, something deeper starts to reveal itself to me—comfort, nostalgia, sarcasm, humour, a little wisdom, and a good dose of human nature. And when I finish, the mess ends…

and becomes a vision of humanity.

  • I throw together acrylic paints and mediums made by Golden Acrylics because I know the artwork will remain brilliant for decades, even centuries. I also varnish for the same reason—to make sure the colours and physical integrity of my art stay true for as long as possible.

    My mad scientist persona/method includes adding wild and wonderful ingredients such as salt, turmeric, coffee, silicone oil, sand… you name it, I’ve probably used it!!

    At the end, I finish most of my art with a beautifully stained, solid wood frame. My original art comes with an appropriate hook for the size of the piece so that all you need is a hammer to install it.

  • If you are within driving distance of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, you are welcome to come and pick up the artwork yourself. I may even be able to deliver it myself, depending on the distance.

  • Have a spot in your home that you’d like to find artwork for?

    1. Grab a letter-sized piece of paper and attach it (using painter’s tape or sticky tack…) to the wall roughly where you’d like the artwork to go.

    2. Using your phone’s camera or a digital camera, take a photo of that wall with the paper on it.
      TIP: Before snapping the picture, frame the image so there is room around the paper for you to visualize the area around the artwork.

    3. Send me a message and let me know you’d like to preview some art.

    4. I’ll walk you through how to send the file, and I’ll get back to you with digital images of your space with my artwork in it. This way you can decide which one speaks to you the most.
