Lundy’s Street Art

16 Boxes are Getting New Art!

Lundy’s Lane in Niagara Falls, Ontario, is getting a face lift AGAIN!

The art I created for utility boxes in 2019 received a huge number of compliments, even to (and from!) the mayor’s office. In fact, it was so well received, I was asked to create more! I’ am so thrilled to announce new artwork is being installed now. I hope you love the new TEXTURED version as much as I do.

MOCKUP — Utility Box Art 2026 - Midas

There are 3 boxes at Midas. If you look to the far left, you’ll see the 3rd one peeking over the bushes.

MOCKUP — Utility Box Art 2026 - Midas

Here is a close-up of one @ Midas. Do they have the touch? I imagine so!

MOCKUP — Utility Box Art 2026 - Carpaccio Restaurant

The colours are inspired by the Italian landscape for these boxes!

Utility Box Art 2026 - Falcon Inn

These colours are inspired by the Falcon Inn logo.

Utility Box Art 2026 - Pho Bowl

I took inspiration from Vietnamese colour symbolism for this box sitting by Pho Bowl. Blue is a symbol for calm, and red is for luck and happiness.

Utility Box Art 2026 - Strada

Strada is a wonderful spot for casual Italian food that comforts. The red they use for their menus and decor are used here as a tribute.

Utility Box Art 2026 - Subway

Subs, anyone? Just the thing for… well any time!

Utility Box Art 2026 - Fullerton Manor Inn

A wonderful spot for rest and recuperation.

Utility Box Art 2026 - Starbucks

An update for this box is here! This poor box has seen more than its fair share of smashing cars. Let’s hope this one lasts a bit longer.

Utility Box Art 2026 - Starbucks

This one is new and perhaps not huge, but I still think it will pack a punch of colour to this corner of the world.

Utility Box Art 2026 - Wind

I have a soft spot for Japan, so it was a joy to add a touch of Shoji screen and red colours to this utility box. There’s even a bit of a swoosh added as a tribute to Wind’s wonderful ceiling treatment.

Utility Box Art 2026 - Rollz Up

I finally tried the wonderful ice cream at Rollz Up—if you haven’t already, do try their yummy treats!! It will be sure to melt your heart as much as it slides down your chin.

Utility Box Art 2026 - Stag

For those who venture into this store that offers personal adventures, you get a look of shock and one of “Well alright, then!” Fun is sure to happen after a visit here!

Utility Box Art 2026 - Midas

I will admit to bringing in a touch of my son’s work here. In the background is a photo of a road in Parry Sound where rocks abound. For me, it was perfect, in my opinion, for this utility box located by Midas where travel is made safer every day.

Art installed in 2019

Below are a few of the 11 boxes I originally created art for over 6 years ago. Wow, time flies!

Sonia Wilkinson

I make beautifully thoughtful art using acrylic paint and mediums, sand, salt (and other wacky ingredients), nature-inspired colours, compassion, and soul. It’s art that lifts—those who are inspired by my art or humour, and my fellow artists with training that is accessible and teaches them to effectively present their art.
